Big Wheels, Bar Golf and Suicide Sunday!

STARBOARD UPDATE – BIG WHEELS, BAR GOLF, AND SUICIDE SUNDAY!

LAST WEEKEND – WHEN IT RAINS... WE POUR!

This past weekend featured some ideal STARBOARD WEATHER! We love it when it's a little overcast, and the showers on Sunday made for ideal Suicide Sunday conditions. Saturday's MS Fundraiser with the Dunk Tank was a huge success, though I swear I was dunked double the times anyone else was and that water was FREEZING! Thanks to all for supporting each of our weekly fundraisers, all are great causes, and we like to make fundraising FUN! Thanks again!

Sunday's rainy weather made for a HUGE Suicide Sunday that lasted all the way till last call! Kristen, Joe, and Marty finished off the night in grand form with Kristen's last song being our National Anthem in honor of all the troops serving our country and allowing us to continue having this much fun each and every weekend!

Saturday's MS Fundraiser with the Dunk Tank

Always a very colorful (PINK) event, this Saturday brings us to the Big Wheels for Breast Cancer Races put on by some awesome friends of The Starboard! Hopefully several of you can dig up a big wheel, decorate it up, and help us raise money for the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund. It all gets underway at 2pm Saturday, the parking lot will be blocked off, and those of you participating in the Bar Crawl are more than welcome to partake as you kick off your crawl!

Every year this is one of the marquee events in Dewey Beach! If you have not yet registered, please do so HERE. Generally about 800 people participate, and it all kicks off right here at The Starboard early Saturday afternoon. We do our best to keep you here and hope this is your favorite stop... plenty of bars right inside The Starboard for those that annually do their own little crawl around The Starboard and never leave!

We are lucky that LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous had this Sunday available to fill in while Kristen and the Noise have a wedding to play. Sunday nights with $1.75 Natural Lights, $2.75 Bacardi Drinks, and $3.75 Bombs continue to build each week. Hopefully you are sticking in town and making the most out of Suicide Sundays... it sure seems that way and we appreciate all the support! See you this week for Breakfast with Elvis, Doug Segree on Deck, then LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous. Joe, Daphne and Marty (formerly of Burnt Sienna) will also be on hand Sunday night to make it an all-star jam!

This past Sunday, with a little help from the rainy weather, The Starboard topped its single day food sales record with the biggest day in our 52 year history! Just wanted to say a quick thanks to all that are enjoying our new menu, our breakfasts, and choosing us to keep you nourished while in Dewey!

Thanks so much for everything.... have a great Friday, and with just two regular summer weekends to go, we'll see you here in Dewey to make the most of them!

As we fill back up after the dinner break this Saturday, our friends at Red Bull are bringing their BMX Biker who competes for them to The Starboard, their team will put on a show in our parking lot around 8–10pm on Saturday, so swing up and enjoy while enjoy plenty of Smirnoff/Red Bulls or Bull Sharks throughout the night!

For those of you that wish to help us support the fight against Breast Cancer... we are launching our first ever 5K race this fall on Saturday, October 8th. This race is very close to my own heart as I use The Starboard to help with the fight against Breast Cancer. We are all affected one way or another through Ourselves, Moms, Sisters, Wives, Daughters, or Girlfriends! Personally, I was extremely lucky to enjoy 25 extra years with my own Mom thanks to all the work and technology they have done with fighting the nasty disease, and when she passed away a few months ago, I wanted to continue the work she did to raise money over the years and honor how proud she was of the advances and technology made over her years of fighting it. Hence this October 8th, we inaugurate our first ever 5K race for Breast Cancer Research! We have teamed up with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and will have plenty more information in the coming weeks... hoping many of you can join us for the race, and following Pig Roast and Parking Lot Party on the 8th of October!
