Closing Weekend!

THE STARBOARD UPDATE – STARBOARD CLOSING THIS WEEKEND!

We're gearing up for another fantastic 4 day Closing Extravaganza!

For those of you heading back to Dewey Beach this weekend, we are gearing up for another fantastic 4–day Closing Extravaganza here at
The Starboard! This is the weekend so many refer to as the unofficial end of the Dewey Season for 2011, though many of you make it back for New Year's... this is the end of our year for the
most part.

It all starts on Thursday night with a little tribute to all that live here... DJ John Hardy will be on hand as we open back up at 5pm Thursday, for the "calm before the storm", if you will.

Friday we are psyched to have LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous on stage, and plan to have our entire restaurant open with every summer bartender and staff member back in their normal spots to serve you as best we can! The decks are covered and heated and the coolers are stocked! So get down here Friday night if you can, and you may as well plan on hanging in Dewey for the entire weekend to get the most out of this great time!

Saturday will no doubt a jam packed day and night at The Starboard. We'll be staffed up and ready to rock all day and night! The weather forecast is sunny but slightly chilly... perfect weather to spend the day at The Starboard. All of our DJ's will be on hand that day, with Steve in the morning, John Hardy all afternoon, and DJ Smoky Saturday night!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday – A special day for all the long time diehards of
The Starboard as we say goodbye to two very special friends, Tracey and Tracy. Both have bartended forever here at The Starboard, and both will be hanging up the bottle openers to focus on full time jobs in education. We honored them with a fun party back in October, but this day will be the last one behind their normal bar here at The Starboard. We don't make changes very often around here, so this is a big one, and I welcome you all to be here on Sunday to say a huge THANKS to them both! And of course, with Sunday being their last day, we'll certainly make sure to have some fun roasting them, too!

Sunday has always been a special day. It's the final day of the season, and we'll be open all the way till 1am. Join us in the afternoon, that night, or both! We will be here till "the cupboards are dry!"

Thanks so much to everyone for a FANTASTIC year at The Starboard. We have exceed all other years in sales, we owe our incredible customers, our fantastic staff and everyone that has anything to do with this place a huge Thank You, it is a big team effort and we are all so fortunate The Starboard holds such a special place in so many hearts!

We will have our normal tickets available for purchase on closing weekend, they will then go on sale on our website the following week. Price remains the same as they have been for recent years, just $29.99 gets you into The Starboard's New Year's Eve Bash! We will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday over New Year's Weekend. LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous will play on Friday night, December 30th, then DJ Smoky takes care of the entertainment for New Year's Eve night. New Year's Day is a similar feel to Closing Sunday... as everyone shares stories from the prior night... and enjoys Starboard Hospitality all day long.
