We sent July out in style around here last weekend. Saturday many of you went to Seacrets for a beautiful day down there, while the rest of you were here at The Starboard with your Big Wheels raising money for a cure for Breast Cancer. Suzy was in charge last Saturday of the fundraiser, supporting both our local breast cancer chapters as well as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer research for a Cure...she reported they were able to raise over $8000 with their efforts. Thanks to any of you that were here and to them for the incredible job done in raising money for this very serious cause.

Sunday was a day made for The Starboard! The skies let loose with rain, wind, thunder and lightening...and our normal crazy Suicide Sunday got taken up a notch! By the time Doug Segree was done at 6pm on Sunday...the deck was still packed with people as there was not much else to do but party Starboard style in this town!

FRIDAY IT'S GROTTO PIZZA HAPPY HOUR AGAIN!

See you all here when you get to town on Friday for Dollar slices of hot Grotto Pizza made in their original Pizza Wagon right out front. Add in some ice cold Miller Lites for just $3 or High Life Lights for just $2...and your weekend is off and running!

SATURDAY - GODEWEY.COM BEER PONG!

Again this year, The Starboard will serve as the location for GODEWEY.COM to throw their annual Beer Pong Celebration! It is not yet sold out so go online now to their site and register if you wish to play and for information. Check in's for the event will be at The Starboard from 11am-1pm on Saturday, then they will send you to different houses to play...and the finals will be held around 3pm right here at the Starboard. It is your choice of what beverage to play with, as you can use water, beer, or whatever....we just care that you have fun and enjoy yourself!

SATURDAY - ITS A PAJAMA PARTY!

We have switched gears a bit this year, bringing a close to 10 years of Pimp and Ho Costume contests, our bar staff has decided to throw a Pajama Party. Heineken/Heineken Light will bring this party too you on Saturday night from 8pm-11pm. (that means $3 Heinekens, Heineken Lights, and Amstel Lights all night Saturday!!) DJ Smoky will come up with all kinds of whacky awards and prizes for those that come festive in their PJ's! Girls, guys, we hope you will all dig out your favorite pair as we do our best to keep each weekend of the summer different and exciting! Get here by 8pm on Saturday if you wish to take part in our contest, I can't even tell you what the awards will be....it will certainly be game time decision once we see our choices of PJ's!!

SUNDAY- MADE YA LOOK GIRLS FUNDRAISER

Yet another great fundraiser for breast cancer [Susan G. Komen For the Cure]. This time we welcome the girls from our favorite salon just up the street, Made Ya Look. Donna, who bartends here every Sunday morning inside our main bar will bring her girls from her salon to The Starboard from Noon-3pm to cut hair, air brush tatoos, a face tanner, hair extensions, etc... whatever you wish for, they will do as they try to top their total from last year which surpassed $1100! Most of you will be here at some point on Sunday...so please be sure to stop up to the Upper Deck and see the girls as this is yet another fun way to support a great cause.

SUNDAY - LAURALEA & TRIPP FABULOUS!!!

Yes, for those of you that are not here on the weekdays, we are happy to bring you the awesome LAURALEA & TRIPP FABULOUS this Sunday night for a rare weekend show in Dewey Beach. It is now August, so most of you are staying down on Sunday nights...grab some dinner after a fun Sunday afternoon...we will see you all back here by 10pm for a phenomenal show by LauraLea!!

Tickets are now on sale for our 50th Anniversary Celebration which will be a black tie formal event hosted right here inside The Starboard. We will have a huge tent over our parking lot, red carpeting everywhere, and plenty of gifts for all that come to help us remember what a great 50 years it has been and enjoy seeing so many old faces from The Starboard's past. We are selling tickets for $100 each, which include open bar on Beer, Wine, and Champagne, a cash bar on liquor, plenty of incredible food provided by the Big Fish Grill, and commemorative gifts for all in attendance. It is going to sell out, we sold over 200 tickets in the first 5 days they were available. We do not want to make it uncomfortable, so will limit the ticket sales. If you can make it to join us on the night of Saturday, October 3rd...please grab your ticket online!

Anyone that has old pictures from the past 50 years of The Starboard, we would love for you to share them with us now as we put together DVD's and a book on The Starboard's 50 years for each person coming to have. We will have slide shows of all the pictures running on the tents throughout the weekend, and want to share with everyone the phases the Starboard has gone through. From its beginning as a Piano bar to what it is now! Please send us any pictures, if you have them electronically you can email them, otherwise send in the hard copies with a return address and I will see to it that you get your pictures mailed back too you!
