Its bittersweet for all of us here at The Starboard, as we get closer to our annual Closing Party the fun times from 2010 are about to become part of the history books. While our staff enjoys taking a few winter trips, the most exciting part for me is to start planning our 2011 season. This year our annual Closing Party Weekend is November 5-7th. Dewey hotels fill up for this one, if you are slow to pull the trigger on a place to stay, I suggest you make that call now 'cause 3 weeks from now will be too late.
While on this subject, feel free to pencil in our Opening Weekend for 2011...Thursday, March 17th - Sunday, March 20th!
This Friday for all you that live in the Baltimore area, you can find JEFE doing Happy Hour at our Portside Tavern just off Canton Square. He gets going about 5pm with $2 beer specials. A few weeks ago when Jefe played Portside, the place was packed with many familiar Dewey Beach faces...so gather your friends this Friday and head to Portside for a Jefe Happy Hour!
In Arlington at The Front Page, Jefe is doing most Saturday nights, on the couple where Jefe isn't at Front Page of Arlington, you can find Joe Daphne there, Joe is a former member of LauraLea's band, now does Sundays with Jefe and Kristen at the Northbeach in Dewey. Joe has been a great friend to the Starboard for many years, so drop by the Front Page - Arlington any Saturday night to catch either Jefe or Joe Daphne!
Speaking of Portside and The Front Page-Arlington...you can now drink as many of our favorite Orange or Grapefruit Crushes at either location. Portside has been 'crushing with crushes' for years, and Front Page has now added several crushers for you to enjoy your favorite Dewey Beach cocktail!
The Starboard is the #1 seller of Absolut Ruby Red Vodka in the United States of America, hence we know our customers love these Ruby Red Crushes...now you can grab them at Portside or Front Page-Arlington anytime. You guys in Arlington are also able to enjoy a sampling of our Bloody Mary Smorgasbord at the Front Page every Sunday morning. We do a Breakfast/Brunch Buffet at Front Page, and have The Starboard's Bloody Mary bar there for you to go wild.
Tickets for The Starboard's annual New Year's Eve Party (which has sold out every one of the 11 years we've hosted it) will go on sale at our Closing Party November 5-7th. They will be available online about that same time once again for just $29.99. New Years Eve falls on a Friday night this year, hence all of you coming to the beach will probably find a way to make a long weekend out of it. [Starboard will re-open for that weekend from Thursday night the 30th through Sunday, January 2nd]

The numbers of people viewing our first season of Free Starboard TV have been staggering. As most everyone's attention turns away from the beach during the winter months, rest assured we will continue to provide programming of what's going on around Dewey, work here at The Starboard, and some of our staff as they head to their winter destinations.
