Now
is the time of year, all of you with half shares, to get to the beach
and enjoy the most of every weekend with all the rest of us that have
been here all summer. The weather has never been better, the worst
problem we've had all summer is a little too much heat. With over 60
tons of air conditioning at The Starboard,
heat has not stopped the fun here. There is less than a month left in
summer of 2010, so get down here and make the most of what we have
left! Hopefully you have had plenty of good times so far, and can get a
few more in before fall rolls in!

You
have all seen the incredible upgrades that have been made around here
with High Definition programming on all 35 of our Plasma screens. Rest
assured we will have preseason football on these screens over the next
few weekends for you to see while enjoying some cold beverages!

Looks
like a little rain leading into the weekend early Friday, then another
perfectly clear, sunny, beautiful weekend to enjoy for everyone. All
weekend come enjoy all the fun The Starboard has to offer, FREE of any cover charges! We are out to set an all time record on food sales this year at The Starboard
as breakfast and lunch business has been busier than any other year. Be
sure to have your Eggs Delmarva or French Toast at some point this
weekend. As is customary, DJ's will start at 9am each day over the
weekend, and Dewey's daytime headquarters will be rocking as the best
place to be on your weekend afternoons. Crushes, Bloody's, and every
choice of Ice Cold beer will be ready to quench your thirst!

The
Dewey Scavenger Hunt is a very fun annual fundraiser event that
benefits Our Local Center for Inland Bays of Delaware. Most of you know
the effort we made in conjunction with our Center for Inland Bays to
raise over $70,000 for our friends battling the oil spill in the Gulf.
Well, now it's time to help our own estuary program! The Center
promotes education and preservation of the local waterways &
estuaries such as the Rehoboth Bay. Participants of the event scramble
around Dewey Beach gathering trivia and completing fun tasks. The
Scavenger Hunt runs from 1-4PM. Points are tallied so teams can win
great prizes such as gift certificates and bar tabs. Teams of up to 5
people can register this Saturday in front of The Starboard starting at 10am. Mix it up for a change and have some fun on a scavenger hunt this Saturday!

We
have done this for several years, welcomed our friends in the
firefighting industry to guest bartend and raise money for their HEROES
organization. HEROES benefits the families of brothers lost in the line
of duty. This year is no different, always leading the charity efforts
in Dewey Beach. The Starboard
this week will welcome a huge crowd of these firemen and their
supporters, friends, and families on Sunday night. Please stop in at
some point for a few drinks to show your support for our own heroes!
Thanks again for all of your support, hope you are loving our www.TheStarboard.TV
and getting some laughs as we are enjoying every moment of it
ourselves. We thank Captain Morgan for their support of our Web based
TV, and continue to add new programming weekly. Have a great end of
your work week, see you down here in Dewey Beach this weekend!
