Here we are, with just 2 big Starboard weekends left in our 2009 season. Halloween and then our world famous season Closing Party! This weekend, for Halloween, we will throw our usual huge Halloween Costume Party. Travers has worked hard to decorate the Starboard up for the season, and has invited everyone to come join along with the live music of JIMI SMOOTH & THE HIT TIME for a fun and festive night on Saturday. We will be giving away prizes, promotional items, have a fortune teller, along with tons of huge drink specials for all. So why miss the greatest Halloween Party in Dewey Beach...when as always, there will be NO cover charge, just an invite to be a part of the greatest Halloween Party in Dewey Beach! See all of you that are in town on SATURDAY NIGHT!

In recognition of this incredible honor, the Delaware Restaurant Association will host a party at Dover Downs on Monday, November 16th from 6-9pm. Below is the link to the party invite, I hope many of you that live in this area between Wilmington and the beach can find a way to join us to participate in the celebration, as well as one heck of a nice event put on by the DRA. Tickets are $65 per person, there will be booths set up representing many of Delaware's finest establishments, live music, open bar, and Dover Downs will even offer discounted rooms to anyone attending at a rate of $79 per night. So why not make a night of fun out of this and show your Starboard support! You are ALL welcome to come, so if convenient, please join us!

Next weekend is always a very bittersweet occasion for us all at The Starboard. It has been the greatest season ever for The Starboard Restaurant, we have celebrated 50 great years with one huge blowout on October 3rd (see the pictures on our website), we have won the Business of the Year from our local Chamber of Commerce and now the prestigious Cornerstone Award, sales were higher than in any year of our history, and our customers seem to love every single improvement we continue to make as we strive to keep The Starboard first and foremost on everyone's radar screen when they think of life in Dewey Beach! But its also time to shut it down for the winter, and get some much needed sleep!

To wrap up this phenomenal year, we will see most all of you back here in town for one last visit next weekend, starting Thursday (11/5) with our local's closing party, then Friday with LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous, Saturday afternoon Doug Segree Band will hit the deck by 3pm, then Suicide Sunday(11/8)...the grand finale for 2009! For those of you true diehards...be sure to book your rooms for Sunday night, cause we will remain open all the way to last call...always one of the greatest nights of the season!

For the 11th straight year, we will host our New Years Eve Weekend at The Starboard. Turning everything back on, re-stocking the place, and inviting all of you back to Dewey Beach so you can ring in the New Year at your favorite Dewey Beach spot! Tickets will go on sale over Closing Weekend both on location, as well as online. This year we will have a ticket which you can purchase, and print right online off our website. Everyone's favorite, LAURALEA & TRIPP FABULOUS will be on stage to ring in the New Year, with a special BONUS Show on Friday night, January 1st! The days will be filled with Bloody Mary's, Crushes, Eggs Delmarva, French Toast, and plenty of college bowl games on any of our 26 HD Plasma TV's. Tickets have sold out all past 10 years prior to Christmas, so no reason to expect anything different again this year. They will go on sale for $29.99 in roughly two weeks via our website!		Each year, in Washington, DC The Starboard helps host a terrific party filled with mostly all Starboard diehard customers at the National Press Building in downtown DC. This black tie affair, Yuletide Madness is in it's 22nd year. Entertainment will be Kristen and the Noise, along with our own DJ Smoky!
