OK, here we are with our countdown to The Starboard's huge 50th celebration to take place on Saturday, October 3rd. Ticket sales are winding down as we have had a big run on tickets this past week. There are still tickets available for the party, but any purchased from this point on will be held here at The Starboard for you to pick up when you get to town.

We will literally roll out the red carpet, bring in tons of special lighting and decor, and have created several DVD & print publications for you to enjoy a history of our 50 great years here at The Starboard. Included with each ticket are these gifts, an incredible menu provided by the Big Fish Grill, as well as beer, wine, and champagne all night. Entertainment will be provided by Doug James on piano, LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous, and a special set with our own 28 year DJ John Hardy! The event is Black Tie optional or better yet...creative Black Tie. Some will have full tuxes, some will have suits, others will have flip flops, shorts, and tux tops...I expect to see a variety of special attire this night! We will have a coat check provided at the door though right now the weather is perfect!

We hope you are able to find your way to Dewey Beach next weekend, as it is a special weekend and want as many to be a part of it as possible.

For those ladies coming to the party, if you take your ticket right up the street to Made Ya Look Salon, they are offering 20% off all services on Friday and Saturday (10/2 & 10/3) this week for anyone with a ticket. Donna, whom many of you know from bartending here every Sunday afternoon, owns Made Ya Look, she wants all of you getting dolled up for the big celebration to stop by so they can take good care of you.

On Friday, October 2nd, we will also welcome back many former Starboard staff members, so we will have a little party just for former/current staff from 8-11pm on Friday.

The next big weekend here in Dewey will be the World Famous Starboard Closing Weekend. This is a four day event, starting on Thursday night, November 5th and going all the way through last call on Sunday, November 8th. If it is not already on your calendar, be sure to get it on there and secure your place to stay now! Hotels all sell out in town for the Starboard closing!
